What we do with your book

Each service is priced per project, not per hour. You get a fixed quote before any work begins.

Developmental editing

We look at the big picture: plot arcs, chapter structure, pacing, character consistency. You receive a detailed editorial letter with concrete suggestions, not vague praise. Most reports run 8 to 15 pages depending on manuscript length. Turnaround sits between two and four weeks for a standard-length novel.

Copy editing and proofreading

Sentence-level work: grammar, punctuation, word choice, consistency of tense and voice. We use tracked changes so you see every edit and can accept or reject individually. A separate proofread pass catches anything introduced during revisions. Fiction and non-fiction both welcome.

Interior formatting

We prepare your manuscript for print (PDF) and e-book (EPUB/MOBI). This includes chapter headings, running headers, drop caps if desired, table of contents, and front/back matter. Files are delivered ready for upload to Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, or Apple Books.

Publishing consultation

Not sure whether to self-publish or query agents? We walk you through the practical differences: cost, timeline, royalty structures, distribution reach. A single 90-minute call covers your specific manuscript and goals. You leave with a written action plan.

Manuscript assessment

A lighter-touch option when you want honest feedback without a full edit. We read the complete manuscript and provide a five-page report on strengths, weaknesses, and market positioning. Useful before committing to a larger editing budget.

We settle on the exact service, deadline, and price before any payment. A 40% deposit secures your slot; the balance is due on delivery.

Editing or formatting begins

Your assigned editor works through the manuscript. Midway through longer projects, we send a progress update so there are no surprises at the end.

Review and revise

You receive the edited manuscript with tracked changes and the editorial report. One round of follow-up questions is included at no extra charge.

Final files delivered

Once you approve, we deliver clean final files in the formats you need: Word, PDF, EPUB, or all three. Your book is ready.

It depends on the manuscript length and the type of edit. A developmental edit for an 80,000-word novel typically falls between €1,200 and €1,800. Copy editing runs lower. We always quote a fixed price after reading your sample, so there is no guesswork on your end.
Yes, and we enjoy it. First books often need more structural guidance, which is exactly where a developmental edit adds the most value. We explain every suggestion in plain language, not industry jargon.
Literary fiction, genre fiction (crime, romance, sci-fi, fantasy, historical), memoir, narrative non-fiction, and self-help. We do not currently take on academic texts, poetry collections, or screenplays.
Copy editing and proofreading usually take two to three weeks. Developmental editing takes three to five weeks. Rush service is available for an additional 30% fee, which cuts the timeline roughly in half.
